Nowadays, there is a rapid demand for high-speed internet access on high-speed trains. Free space optical communication technology has the potential to meet that demand, due to its ease of deployment, unlimited bandwidth, and extremely high throughput. In this paper, we propose an enhancement of free space optical link model link range by implementing multiple transmitters concept. Our proposed model is evaluated in terms of received power, bit error rate, link margin and the required number of base stations. Simulation is conducted under various weather conditions also. By comparing the performance of single, dual, triple and quad transmitters under various rain and for attenuation levels link range was significantly improved. Additionally, the required number of base stations to achieve acceptable FSO communication link at BER of 10-9 was significantly reduced.
