Treatment of Sulfamethoxazole Antibiotics Using Constructed Wetlands

The constructed wetland systems with and without magnetite particles were able to remove SMX from the contaminated water. Even though the magnetite addition enhanced the endogenous h2o2 production in plants as well as the plant growth, the SMX removal was not further improved by the magnetite addition.
