The Correlated Color Temperature of a Light Source has become a huge topic of conversation in the selection of light sources, particularly in Roadway Lighting. For outdoor lighting, recommendations from various sources including the American Medical Association have been presented and primarily consider aspects of the light source based on limiting negative impacts on various aspects of the environment such as sky glow, user health, flora and fauna. However, very few of these document consider the possibility of a visual performance improvement under light sources of differing CCT.
