Fault detection and isolation problems for linear discrete-time systems with external disturbance are studied in this article. Using geometric method, we design an H -based observer and draw a sufficient condition. Then, coding sets are designed to deal with multiple faults that occur simultaneously and some valuable conclusions are given. A simulation example is presented to show the validity of theoretical results and the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
