Along with the rapid development of technology, the need for electricity will also continue to increase. The wireless power transfer is a promising kind to deliver electric energy in a flexible and comfortable fashion. This technology has been applied to various types of applications, one of which is electric vehicles. In the wireless power transfer system, the coil position is the main key to power transfer efficiency. A misalignment between the coils is very influential on the efficiency. In this paper, a multi coil design is proposed to improve the efficiency of the system. From the results of the experiment, it can be seen that the maximum efficiency obtained is 82 %. The proposed multi coil design shows an increase in efficiency of an average of 7% compared to a single coil design.
