Regional Grid Load Frequency Control Strategy Considering Renewable Energy

With the increase of the permeability of renewable energy in the power system, there are more and more difficulties to control the load frequency of the regional power grid. The access of large-scale new energy sources has an impact on the frequency deviation of the power system. This problem is more serious in small-capacity regional power grids that are weakly connected to the main power grid. Considers the characteristics of different types of renewable energy units, this paper establishes a physical model of interconnected power systems with multiple generator sets, and simultaneously establishes a mathematical model of coordinated control of regional grid load frequency. Based on the Nash equilibrium principle, the Solutions can be easily found. The method realizes coordinated control of AGC and AVC by adjusting the output of the unit to reduce system frequency deviation and tie line power deviation caused by renewable energy access.
