Innovation Acceptability in Elderly Care: A Risk Evaluation Approach

The increase of the senior population requires multiple efforts to maintain the best quality of life by controlling risks and expenses. This situation has been the driving force behind the development of many innovations in the elderly care. However, the success of these innovations depends on their acceptability. After a bibliometric study, we propose that the innovation acceptability is conditioned by the different preferences and multiple risks incurred by a group of stakeholders. This article focuses on the development of a global model for assessing and reducing the fall risk of seniors. This risk is studied in the context of innovations for home care.
