The description of the problem of economic damage due to power outages at production facilities is given. It is proposed to use backup power supply in the form of solar-wind stations to solve that problem. A solar-wind module based on the two-dimensional electric machine is described. Drawbacks of this engineering solution are analyzed. One of the problems of wind and solar power plants is their inability to produce electric power of industrial frequency and voltage. For this purpose, expensive power inverters are used, and they substantially increase the price of the entire system. This drawback may only be eliminated if primary sources of energy are converted into power of three-phase alternate current. This paper sets out to solve the problem of transforming solar and wind energy into the power of three-phase alternate current having industrial voltage and frequency; as well as the problem of addition of energy flows from these heterogeneous sources electromechanically (thanks to electromagnetic fields) in the air gaps of electric machines. This paper analyzes technological and economic viability of using the converters of wind and solar energy into electric power in order to decrease production damage caused by power outages.
