LiTDI, an Electrolyte Additive for Extended Battery Lifetime

The electrolyte plays a major role in batteries performance, lifetime, and safety. Ultra-pure solvents, salts, and additives are crucial to mitigate side reactions and premature degradation of battery components. In addition, more stable electrolytes need to be formulated to support new anode and cathode materials being developed for higher capacity. Arkema's electrolyte additive, LiTDI, not only increases battery lifetime but also addresses these issues of purity and stability with high capacity battery materials.
