A novel wideband differential phase shifter is analysed and designed using Genetic Algorithm (GA) in this paper. The differential phase shifter consists of a fixed main line of length $lambda_{mathrm{g}}$, and three pairs of parallel open and short stubs of length $lambda_{mathrm{g}}/8$, which are shunted at edge and middle points of the main line, respectively. For a desire phase shift, both good impedance match and minimum phase deviation are obtained across a wide band. A 180° phase shifter is simulated based on AWR to verify the design results. The phase shifter exhibits an impedance bandwidth (return coefficient≤−20dB) and a consistent 180°(±3°) phase difference bandwidth around 62%.
