Study on Port Efficiency in Different Storage Strategies of Container Yard

摘要

Different storage strategies of container yard have different advantages. To know the efficiency and advantage, the transverse and lateral mixed strategies are comparative analysis. The distance and time are the comparative point. Firstly, the characteristics of different storage strategies were introduced. Secondly, we got the truck distance in two strategies through calculating expected distance and corresponding probability all kinds of combination. Then, we calculated the time using in different storage strategies. Finally, Case showed that when the objective is to improve the operation efficiency, lateral mixing distribution is a good choice. While the objective is to control cost, good plan is transverse mixing distribution.
