PURPOSE: A stop position recognition system of unmanned transport equipment within a port container yard using radio frequency identification (RFID) and a control method thereof maximize work efficiency.;CONSTITUTION: A stop position recognition system of unmanned transport equipment includes an RFID tag (100), an RFID reader (200), a WLAN module (300), and an unmanned transport car (400). The RFID tag is installed at designated areas within a port terminal yard. The RFID reader is installed at a gantry crane (10) or a tower crane within the port terminal yard. The WLAN module wirelessly communicates with a central control means by being installed at the gantry crane or the tower crane within the port terminal yard.
