In order to realize automatic reading recognition of spring tube pressure gauge pointer instrument, a method based on threshold segmentation, Hough circle detection, morphology and pixel normalization is proposed. Aiming at the special characteristics of this kind of instrument, this method only relies on the image information of the instrument to detect, and the experimental accuracy is high.
