Publishing on a Website: Simulation as Didactic Intervention

摘要

At the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, the students of the Bachelors in Business Administration and partly in Business Informatics study the field of professional communication. In these courses, they learn to write and assess communication concepts as well as various genres used in professional communication. Several lecturers use a website as their main teaching tool in class, especially because of the didactic affordances and authenticity, enabling them to develop tasks very close to the communicative reality in companies. The students acquire the competence to produce multimodal texts and to edit them in a content management system (CMS). The visibility of the texts supports peer and expert feedback and is a stimulus to produce texts of high quality. In the article, the concept of the application in the courses and concrete examples are introduced.
