In this paper, a circularly polarized rectangular dielectric resonant antenna (DRA) array excited by a sequential phase feed network is proposed. The feed network consists of a one-four-rotation feed network located at the center backside of the ground plane and four one-two Wilkinson power dividers. The energy transmitted by the coaxial line is fed to each of the two dividers through the feed network. The two probes placed at the output of the divider are then coupled to the stripline on the DRA sidewall. A circularly polarized (CP) field is generated by strip line excitation which orthogonally placed on the side walls of the rectangular DRA. This antenna consists of 2 dielectric resonator (DR) units. By reasonably controlling the distance between each DR, a narrower main lobe width of the radiation pattern is obtained. Through simulation, it is found that the antenna axis ratio(AR) after the array is significantly wider than that of the DRA unit fed by the Wilkinson power divider. The simulation results show that the antenna has an impedance bandwidth of 53.7%(2.37-4.34GHz), a 3dB AR bandwidth of 51.1%(1.88-4.47GHz), and the peak gain is 12.6dBic.
