Modification of Neuronal Network Dynamics to Various Time-Interval Stimulation

Temporal memory within seconds, which high activity can be seen within several independent parts in brains during task performance, can be an intrinsic property possessed by cortical neurons. One expression of temporal memory may rely on variation in polysynaptic information. Here, we aimed to explore how clusters of single cell activity transform time information and integrate as network dynamics. To investigate temporal memory formation, high frequency training stimulation were given to two sites in dissociated neuronal networks, whiel single pulse stimulation was designed as test stimulation comparing to training stimulation to elucidate how training effects changes spike timing change within response activity. Our results showed direction specific training, that response in upper chamber decrease and lower chamber increased to upper stimulation, while lower stimulation response showed little difference, suggesting the enhanced of connection in lower chamber.
