Loop probe calibration for radiation measurements from common mode currents

In this paper we propose a calibration technique for a loop antenna as a probe for common mode current measurements on antenna feeders. Our method is based on experimentally calibration of the loop by using a distance averaging approach. The proposed approach was validated by measuring a square loop antenna fed through a coaxial cable; the probe antenna was a biconical, calibrated antenna.
