摘要

The illuminated anaerobic digestion system with optimal illumination condition is effective to mitigate ammonia inhibition. Moreover, the number of photons proved to be the key factor for further scale-up utilization of the illuminated system to treat the ammonium-rich substrate practically. The illuminated fixed-bed system with optimal illumination condition contributed to high efficiency and stability of the ammonium-rich anaerobic digestion process. It is promising to establish alow cost, eco-mendly, easy operated system for highly efficient bio-methane recovery from ammonium-rich waste by using this novel illuminated process.
