In summary, the solar-powered UV-LED system successfully inactivated E. coli. Some variation in k_F was observed from the independent trials, which may be reduced by better regulating the solar panel. This study demonstrates the high potential of solar-powered UV-LED system to secure safe drinking water in off-the-grid areas.
