摘要

To utilize FAB for saline wastewater treatment, this study evaluated the effect of Ca~(2+) and Mg~(2+) on mitigation of the salt stress on anammox activity. The addition of Ca~(2+) and Mg~(2+) alleviated the salt inhibition with the optimum supplementing concentrations of 200 mg-Ca~(2+)/L and 70 mg-Mg~(2+)/L. Although a long term test is still needed, the addition of Ca~(2+) seemed to be more effective compared to Mg~(2+).The cations addition might have positive effects of changes in the composition of S-EPS and the firmness of the anammox granules, resulted in preventing the penetration of salt.
