摘要

These days, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), known as hazardous air pollutants (HAPs), are themain concern in the environment. People can be easily exposed to VOCs emitted from natural(shrubs and grasslands) and anthropogenic (industrial and vehicle emissions) sources. It producesozone (O_3) and secondary organic aerosol (SOA) through chemical reactions in the atmosphere.Because Seoul is the biggest urban area in South Korea, a large amount emission of VOCs isexpected from vehicle exhaust and solvent evaporation. The objective of this study is to investigatethe area highly affected by VOCs, to identify the main sources, and to calculate the amount of O_3and SOA formation.
