Design and testing of solid propellant rockets towards NASA Student Launch and Intercollegiate Rocket Engineering Competitions

摘要

This paper presents the activities of two student teams, Long Beach Rocketry and Experimental Sounding Rocket Association at California State University, Long Beach towards the design, fabrication and testing of solid propellant rockets. The Long Beach Rocketry team participated in the 2017-18 NASA Student Launch Competition and received an overall ranking of 4 at the college and university level after the final launch in Huntsville, AL. Experimental Sounding Rocket Association worked towards the Intercollegiate Rocket Engineering Competition but did not participate in the onsite competition in Las Cruces, NM.
