The maritime industry employs a wide range of electrically driven machinery, fundamentally comprised of controls, motors and structural subsystems. This paper presents a streamlined workflow which brings together simulation tools for logic and controls, motor performance, and structural noise, vibration and harshness (NVH). With a comprehensive knowledge of the system response, decisions can be made to modify the design to mitigate the negative effects of noise and vibration, reduce physical testing, optimize system performance, and aid the overall design process.
