Polarimetric performance is an important part of the SKA (Square Kilometer Array) radio telescope. This work shows how a simplified version of randomised polarisation diversity can benefit the IXR (Intrinsic Cross-polarisation Ratio) performance of aperture arrays. This work investigates a station with dual-oriented (non-uniform) orthogonal dipole elements. The IXR performance between the uniform and non-uniform orientated stations are compared. A dual-orientated array is found to have less ripple in its IXR performance at constant-low FoV (Field of View) angles.
