Nanopatterning of a Metallic Film by Short Pulse Illumination through a Polymer Stamp Containing Gold Particles

We present and analyze an optical technique for nanopatterning. Using a titanium sapphire laser with pulse stretching, we demonstrate periodic nanopatterning of a chromium film in both the femtosecond and the picosecond regimes, as expected from our simulations.
