VSAT stations (Very Small Aperture Terminals) are small, cheap terrestrial satellite stations, which are equipped with small antennas (typically from 1 m to 2 m), low power RF transmitters (typically from 0.5 W to 2W) and in modems and signal converters, forming a compact structure. This article concerns the measurement method of transmitting receiving end stations with small antennas (VSAT) intended for data transmission, working in a star configuration network or a point-to-point network. The article concerns problems verification (confirmation) of the type of access for terrestrial satellite stations. The aim of the study is to present a description of the measurement method and to normalize the conditions of their operation and interpretation of the results. This procedure is based on the following standards: ETS 300 456: 2005 and EN 60835-3-10: 2000. The results of tests confirming work with selected access methods are also presented.
