摘要

The value of magnetic cluster, D{sub}(cluster), which is a main factor for media noise in perpendicular recording media, is a function of activation diameter D{sub}(act) and the strength of intergranular exchange coupling [1], and the both should be reduced to reduce the value of D{sub}(cluster). In the present study, magnetic cluster size D{sub}(cluster) of perpendicular recording media was discussed relating to remanence coercivity by taking account of demagnetizing field of magnetic cluster.
