摘要

A single feed dual polarized crossed shaped slot antenna excited by a microstrip line is proposed for tri-band operation. A crossed shaped slot is inserted in the ground plane for the single band operation. To achieve triple band in the crossed slot antenna, two orthogonal arms of the cross slot is shorted by metallic strips. Due to multiple asymmetries in the structure, orthogonal field components with 90° phase can be generated to realize circular polarization. The simulated results exhibit circular polarization (corresponding to axial ratio <; 3dB) from 3.25 GHz to 3.55 GHz. The measured triple band response at a resonance frequency of 2.3 GHz, 3.0 GHz and 3.5 GHz. The proposed antenna is fabricated and measured and, good agreement between simulated and measured results is observed.
