As a typical application scenario of Internet of Things (IoT) technology, smart home can not only provide people with a convenient, comfortable, safe and intelligent home environment, but also improve the modernization and intelligence of the home management application. This paper designs a smart home system based on MQTT and FBP. The system adopts MQTT as communication protocol of the smart home system, and introduces the component-oriented flow-based programming (FBP), which enables users to connect some visual components according to their own preferences. Finally, the FBP service rule applications are constructed to achieve intelligent associative control of devices in the smart home system.
