Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) is the key technology in Internet of Things (IoT), which provides two types of components (namely readers and tags) to realize automatic object identification. Recently, chipless RFID tags have gained more attention from industrial and academic fields due to their advantages of simple structure, low manufacturing cost and full printing. This paper proposes a chipless RFID tag anti-collision algorithm based on Successive Approximation Comparative (SAC) amplitude coding to solve the chipless tag collision problem from the physical layer. Simulation results indicate that the proposed SAC-based chipless RFID tag anti-collision algorithm is effective and efficient, and outperforms the conventional algorithm.
