This study proposes an experimental platform of vehicular platoon for intelligence micro vehicle (IMV) distributed control based on cloud server. The experimental platform consists of three IMVs and the cloud server. IMV is developed independently, and it contains image sensor module, distance sensor module, wireless communication module and the module of vehicle. IMV forms a platoon by the distributed control mechanism on cloud server. The data is transmitted between IMV and cloud server by the wireless communication technique. The algorithm of the distributed platoon control is achieved on cloud server, and it calculates the desired velocity and gap of vehicles. Finally, the experiments are conducted. Results demonstrate the effectiveness with respect to the desired velocity and gap of platoon.
