Constructed a nanosecond pulse source-LTD and study both the parameters and the usage of the source, whose internal wave process can't be ignored in the application that the cables connected with LTD are not long enough. After measurement and calculation, we get that the time of the internal wave process of LTD is 3.5 ns. Also, dielectric barrier discharge was conducted based on LTD. Analyze the voltage and the current of the discharge, it turns out that dielectric barrier discharge happens two times in a pulse cycle, which happens at the rising and the decreasing process of the pulse. The discharge takes place in an uncertain point or several points at the beginning. It means that the beginning of discharge is random and with the rise of voltage, the discharge fully happens. The current amplitude of the discharge is almost tens of ampere with the voltage applied.
