The detection of partial discharge by the ultrahigh frequency method is the main method for detecting and diagnosing defects in GIS equipment. The traditional UHF sensor calibration method requires the use of a simulated partial discharge source and a high voltage condition, but the accuracy of the partial discharge signal detected by UHF sensor cannot be verified. Reconstruction of the partial discharge UHF signal can calibrate the UHF sensor by comparing the detected signal with the original signal, and verify the detecting accuracy of the UHF sensor. In this paper, the transfer function of the transmitting probe and the transfer function of the receiving antenna are measured and calculated, and the attenuation of the electric field is regarded as a constant. One simple signal was reconstructed according to the transfer function to verify the feasibility of the theory.
