摘要

The structural health monitoring technology is crucial to the monitoring, diagnosis, prognostic, and maintenance of aircraft structures. In this work, we design the hierarchical hardware and modular software architecture, and then develop a structural health monitoring system. In particular, the damage detection performance for aircraft tapered pipeline structures is studied. After the verification experiment, it is shown that the system could be effective to identify the damages on the structural component mimicking the tail boom of helicopter. In addition, the diagnostic error is also evaluated.
