摘要

A wideband noise-cancelling balun low noise amplifier (LNA) with process, supply voltage and temperature (PVT) calibration for low power application is presented in the paper. The proposed LNA consists of the matching amplifier and the voltage sensing amplifier with feedback resistor to achieve noise cancelling and also offers differential outputs. To stabilize DC-operation point and avoid output imbalance of the proposed LNA, a DC tracking loop is utilized by adjusting the supply voltage of the LNA. The proposed LNA is implemented in a 40 nm CMOS process, and occupies 0.101 mm2 chip area. Measurement results show that it achieves maximum voltage gain of 23.2 dB, minimum NF of 5.9 dB, input referred third-order intercept point (IIP3) higher than −6 dBm, and can operate from 1.7 GHz to 5.7 GHz with input return loss of less than −8 dB, while it draws 1.9 mA from 1.1 V voltage supply.
