摘要

This paper deals with discharge characteristics and mechanisms under medium vacuum range of 1 Pa to 1000 Pa in a vacuum interrupter (Ⅵ), which consists of complex electrode configuration with an electrode of floating potential and an insulator. Gas leakage was simulated by enclosing air or SF_6 gas. From a measured discharge current and a shield potential, the discharge characteristics inside the Ⅵ at each pressure was discussed.
