摘要

Fault Ride Through (FRT) capability of Distributed Generation (DG) contributes distribution system stability during disturbance. Clearing fault by Directional OverCurrent Relay (DOCR) before disconnection of DG is important to maintain system stability. In this paper, we optimize a pickup current and Time Dial Setting (TDS) of DOCR using proposed objective function (OF). This proposed OF includes a term which decreases chance to disconnect DG during fault. The proposed OF is compared with conventional OF which minimize only overall relays operating times on modified IEEE 30 bus test system with inverter based DGs. Results show that relay setting values, obtained by proposed OF using MATLAB, prevent to disconnect the DG during fault with higher probability.
