Gongbei Tunnel on Zhuhai Link of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge is constructed by freeze-sealing pipe roof which is a new method combining pipe curtain method and artificial ground freezing method. The freeze-tube combination form of "circular freezing tubes+profiled enhancing freezing tubes+limiting freezing tubes" determined by a lot of experimental and theoretical studies differs from previous freezing engineering, and the number of all temperature sensors around the pipe roof is up to thirteen thousand, this makes the difficulty of freezing monitoring work unprecedented. In this paper, the establishment method of temperature monitoring system is introduced relying on the advantages to join freezing monitoring site construction. Based on data collected during freezing process, analysis on temperature development of jacking pipe and soil outside is presented. Results shows that freezing effect of freeze-sealing pipe roof scheme is significant, the law of temperature development is basically in accordance with the expectation, and frozen curtain can provide reliable protection for tunnel excavation.
