1. 3D polymers printing, coupled with wet metallization techniques, can overcome the limitations imposed by current 3D printing techniques for bulk metals 2. FDM and SLA printed parts can be easily metallized with both single and multilayers of pure metals or alloys 3. Visual appearence of metals (aesthetic) or their peculiar properties (functional) can be exploited for industrial applications 4. Micro SLA can be coupled with wet metallization to manufacture microdevices like MEMS or microrobots 5. Microscaffolds for cell delivery and 3D printed accelerometers were succesfully fabricated.
