This paper focus on the issue of internal electromagnetic coupling in the EVT with flux-insulation ring or not. Firstly, it can be known that the EVT makes the internal combustion engine (ICE) decouple from the drive shift and operate with improved fuel economies and emissions by analyzing power splitting procedure. However, the advantages also makes the electromagnetic field of EVT couple seriously. Then, the equivalent magnetic circuit model is utilized to study the coupling factors of EVT with flux-insulation ring or not under the two hybrid excitation sources. The internal magnetic decoupling scheme of the two kinds of EVT are presented based on the study results. Next, to realize the excellent performances of EVT, an optimal decoupling scheme has been selected by comparing and analyzing the two decoupling schemes. Finally, the 2D-ansoft electromagnetic simulation results express the correctness of the magnetic decoupling scheme.
