Proposition of a model for risk assessment in the transport of the oversized loads in the army

Road transport of the oversized loads is a very specific means of transport which requires good organizational skills and specific knowledge of legislation regulating these kind of services. The specificity, is based on the size of structural elements, equipment or machines that require special and individual approach. Proper selection of the means of transport in relation to the load being transported is the most important element in the entire planning process. This is due to the fact that those responsible for planning of the transport should minimize the possibility of the risk occurrence for the all participants of the traffic. The article discusses the problems of transport of the oversized loads with particular emphasis on the purpose in the military area. It identifies the main threats of such kind of transport as well as presents the concept of a model for estimating the risk of the oversized transport in the military.
