摘要

The aim of this study is to examine the capability of quasi-3D extended finiteelement method (XFEM) approach under in-plane tension, compression, and out-ofplaneloadings. This study is based upon the previous works by the authors [1-3] butdamage models are updated to predict longitudinal failure, matrix crack, anddelamination under both of tensile and compressive loadings. The validity of proposedmethodology was tested against the open-hole tension/compression (OHT/OHC) andquasi-static indentation (QSI) tests. Predicted results are compared with experimentsin terms of nonlinearity, internal damage, and strength.
