In order to assure the safety of different construction conditions ofcomposite bucket foundations (CBF) for offshore wind turbines, thebearing capacity and the force transfer mechanism of the wholefoundation are analyzed, considering the entire construction process arecompleted onshore. The key phrase of the prefabricated process andconstruction control method are listed. On the basis of clarifying thewhole construction and installation process of the CBF, the onshoreconstruction technology is mainly introduced and analyzed. Because ofthe CBF is a steel-concrete composite structures, and the configurationis irregular, the proper construction technology should be taken toavoid quality and safety issues. The results show that: The external andinternal support system and the prestressing tension are essential partsof the construction procedure; as a result, a reasonable constructionmethod is necessary for the sake of safety. It is of essential importanceto propose some structural measures to achieve better overall stabilityduring the manufacture of the steel bucket shirt. Because of the higherstress of the lifting point, its location needs to be arranged reasonably. The on-land fabrication of the offshore wind turbine with a compositebucket foundation can be achieved by using a reasonable controllingmethod of safety and quality, to guarantee the safety of the mechanicalbehavior. From the manufacturing process of two prototype CBF, thisentire construction technology which described in this paper can bettermeet the quality requirements of CBF, and can also meet the needs ofmass prefabrication.
