The effects of both the modified stiffness and the increased environmental loads on the design method of expansive stressed grouted clamp are analyzed, especially on the verification of slip capacity and bolt prying. A typical jacket platform, on which the wave is the control environment load, is employed for the analysis. A method to simulate the clamp on the FE model of platform using line elements is proposed. The analysis result shows that the stiffness change and the environmental loads increase have little effect on the verification of slip capacity of clamp, but have significant effect on the verification of bolt prying for the clamp design. So the safety coefficient of bolt pre-stressed load is supposed to be adjusted.
