Circuit board defect detection using image processing and microcontroller

摘要

Errors are the inescapable quantities which must be resolved in order to achieve an efficient result and best quality. This paper suggests a basic and simplest method to quickly locate and detect the defects on printed circuit board which is termed as subtraction method. In this method, live image acquisition and inspection of circuit board is designed. The digital image preprocessing method is carried out on images. Subtraction method is used for comparison and matching of the reference image and defect image of a circuit board. Missing holes and missing paths can be detected and classified accordingly.
