Recently, the proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs) are known an enormous development. This review discusses and summarizes the recent advances and demanding issues of PEMFC. The numerous advances to the conception, the material of all parts and the efficiencies are analyzed. Many technical signs of progress are introduced to maximize the PEMFC fuel cell performance and lifetime for stationary, transportation and portable utilization. By the recent years, the total price of this system is reduced. However, the rest of the difficulties that should be gotten over imply that it will be several years before full commercialization can take place.
