High speed hyperspectral thermal imaging of the melt pool dynamics during metal additive manufacturing

We use high speed multiwavelength thermal imaging to quantify cooling rates and temperature gradients generated by the laser - powder interaction during a metal powder bed fusion process to understand rapidly solidified material properties.
