For a degradation system operates in a complex environment, it may suffer multiple external shocks. It subject to dependent soft and hard failure processes due to exposure to degradation and shock loads. In this paper, two degradation system reliability models with multiple external shocks are developed. The soft failure process is governed by a general path and the hard failure process is governed by multiple homogeneous Poisson processes. The system follows a competing failure process due to soft and hard failures. The dependence lies in the two different shock effects. In the first model, the external shocks shall change the continuously degradation measurement abruptly. In the second model, the external shock can change the degradation rate of the soft failure process. For the first model, analytical solution of system reliability is given. For the second model, simulation method is adopted to get the system reliability.
