Multiple shaped charges penetration into concrete has been investigated with experimentsand simulations have been conducted in the past several years. However, the theoreticalresearch on multi-jet penetration into concrete has not been reported yet. Based on thecharacteristics of shaped charge jet penetration into concrete, the formation andpropagation of shock wave created by shaped charge jet penetration concrete is analyzed inthis paper. The radial stress and tangential stress are obtained by crater stagnation pressureand radial crater growth velocity as the radius increases. Moreover, a theoretical model ofwave interaction for multiple jets penetration into concrete is also presented in this paper,furthermore the appearance and evolution of crack on the concrete target is discussed.Experiments of four shaped charges penetration concrete were performed to verifytheoretical analysis. It is shown that large crater was formed by both two kinds of multipleshaped charges. Theoretical calculations are well agreement with experiments.
