Unique Ultrapipe glass fabrics for hybrid CIPP liners

In the North American CIPP market, felt is the dominating reinforcement material. This paper will concentrate on the latest fabrics product development at Owens Corning. The protected LOC (Long Oriented Chop) fiber technology is available in newly designed fabrics positioning these fibers in the 90˚ (hoop) direction. This enables the combination of traditional felt liner reinforcement with glass fibers, utilizing the benefits of both in a hybrid construction. Hybrid constructions combine the superior mechanical properties of glass with the traditional felt liner installation process (inversion and elevated temperature cure).
